Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 2026
These terms govern your use of AfriConnect, a WhatsApp Business communication platform operated by More Technology. By using the platform you agree to these terms.
The service
AfriConnect connects a business's WhatsApp Business number to a shared inbox with automated menus, department routing, live agents, digital forms and approved template messaging. The service is provided on a subscription basis with a once-off setup.
Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping login credentials secure, and for all activity that happens under your account. You must let us know promptly of any unauthorised use.
Acceptable use
- Only message people who have agreed to hear from you, and honour opt-out requests.
- Do not send unlawful, misleading, or abusive content.
- Follow the WhatsApp Business Platform and Meta messaging policies at all times.
- Do not use the platform to break any applicable law, including POPIA.
WhatsApp and Meta
AfriConnect is an independent integration platform and is not owned or operated by WhatsApp or Meta. Messages are delivered through the official WhatsApp Business Platform and are subject to Meta's terms and message pricing. WhatsApp is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc.
Fees and billing
Subscription and setup fees are as quoted. WhatsApp message fees follow Meta's official pricing and are billed in addition to the subscription. Prices exclude VAT unless stated otherwise, and message pricing may change if Meta updates its rates.
Your data
You keep ownership of your business and customer data. We process it to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Availability
We work to keep the platform available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Message delivery depends on the WhatsApp Business Platform and factors outside our control.
Intellectual property
The AfriConnect platform, brand and software remain the property of More Technology. These terms do not transfer any ownership of the platform to you.
Liability
To the extent allowed by law, AfriConnect is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under South African law.
Termination
Either party may end the agreement on reasonable notice. On termination we will stop the service and, on request, help you export or delete your data, subject to any legal retention obligations.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
